Neo-Paganism *Neo-Paganism is the worship of ancient beliefs and magickal traditions in the modern age. This religion means various and diverse beliefs in similar connections. One of the main religion under this vast umbrella is Wicca, but Wicca is not the only religion under this grouping. People that are Christians or Jewish may take some Neo-Paganism ideas into their own belief.
*Pagans have been around before any other religion, but Neo-Paganism has only started around the 1960s. At this time people became unsatisfied with the religions that were popular at that time. Neo-Paganism gave the people a spiritual outlet with it’s nature roots.
*There is not a book on Neo-Paganism or the religions under it, that’s why its so relaxed. There is also not a human these religions worship, just gods and goddesses. These religions now go by a “Wiccan Rede,” which says, “An it harm none, do what thou wilt.” It means that a person in this religion can do what they want as long as their actions harm nothing. This Rede is new, along with Wicca.
*Pagans do not believe in Heaven and Hell. Some people believe that there is another world just like this where souls go when they die; others believe that souls join their ancestors that watch over and protect the family that is still alive. Many Pagans believe in reincarnation, but there are many different beliefs that come out of this religion group.
*The funny thing is that other religions belief that people that believe in Paganism are evil, but Pagan’s don’t even believe in evil things. Sadly this is just another example of people being afraid of the unknown and creating something out of this world. The only harmful thing Pagans believe in is karma. This is a natural way for a person to get pay back, so to speak.
